Healthy Lunch at Upbeet

A couple weeks ago I started hearing and seeing a lot of photos on Instagram about Upbeet, it is a restaurant that offers organic grain bowls, salads, acai, smoothies and toasts. I was really curious to know the place, so me and my husband went there to get lunch. The restaurant was full with a big line to order because you can also customize your bowl or choose one of their suggestions, although it was a line, it really moved fast and all the people working there were really nice and give you a lot of suggestions.

I end up choosing the Aloha Bowl ($11.95), that was with bamboo rice, mango, fresh jalapeños, scallions, avocado, toasted coconut, macadamia nuts, ginger miso dressing and tuna poke, I just changed the jalapeños for edamame because I don’t really like spicy foods. The mix was so good and all the tastes went so well together, definitely recommend this bowl.

My husband ordered the Oh-Mega Bowl ($13.45), with brown rice, quinoa, spinach, edamame, watermelon radish, cashews, hemp seeds, orange miso dressing and steelhead trout, this bowl was really fresh and also delicious.

To drink we had the juice refreshers (each $3.50), that have four options, the strawberry watermelon basil, charcoal lemonade, lime cucumber mint and matcha lemonade, we tried the three first and I was so impressed by the charcoal lemonade, the appearance is not the most inviting one but the taste is surprising good!

I definitely recommend checking out Upbeet and I can’t wait to go there again and try need bowls and smoothies!
