A couple weeks ago, me and my husband were at the Lenox Square, here in Atlanta and we wanted to eat sushi sooo bad! We were looking at Yelp to find a nice Japanese restaurant near the mall and we found the Doraku at Buckhead! That day we had a late and big breakfast, so at 5pm we decided to have a late lunch/early dinner, when we arrived at the restaurant it had just opened, and we were glad it wasn’t full because we were way to hungry to wait! One thing that is super nice if you go to their happy hour that is every day from 5pm to 8pm you have discounts in some menu items we also got the house wine for half of the price because was Saturday happy hour!
Me and my husband share all the plates we ordered so we could try a little bit of everything. As appetizers we ordered the Edamame Hommus ($6.95), that is seasoned with roasted sesame and yuzu, served with toasted brioche, that it was so good, if you go there you should definitely try it. After we ordered a salmon hand roll ($4 on happy hour price), the Chef Selection of Sushi+ Sashimi ($31) and the White Dragon Roll ($11.95), my favorite one was the roll that combined a lot of different flavors and it was delicious, but all the food tasted great and it was super fresh! For dessert, we got the Brownie Tempura ($7.50) that is to die for, one of the best desserts I ever had!
We loved everything about Doraku, the food, the service, the decor and of course the happy hour discounts! We would come back again and hopefully soon!! If you are looking for fresh, authentic Japanese restaurant and delicious food, you should check out Doraku in Buckhead!
Algumas semana atrás, eu e meu marido estávamos no Lenox Square, que é um shopping aqui em Atlanta e nós queríamos muuuito comer uma comida japonesa! Começamos a olhar no Yelp (parecido com o TripAdvisor mas só de comida) para encontrar um restaurante bom perto do shopping e acabamos achando o Doraku em Buckhead! Naquele dia tínhamos tomando um café da manhã tarde, quase um brunch e quando deu 5 da tarde estávamos morrendo de fome e decidimos comer um “almo-janta”, quando chegamos no restaurante tinha acabado de abrir para o jantar e ficamos super felizes por ainda estava vazio, afinal estávamos com muita fome para esperar! Uma coisa muito legal nesse restaurante é que todo dia das 17h até as 20h tem o happy hour, onde você tem desconto em alguns pratos do menu e nós também tivemos metade do preço do vinho da casa porque esse é o especial do happy hour de sábado!
Eu e meu marido decidimos pedir alguns pratos e dividir entre nós, assim poderíamos experimentar um pouco de tudo. Para o aperitivo pedimos o Hommus de Edamame ($6.95) que é feito com gergelim torrado e yuzu na torradinha de brioche, que é surpreendentemente delicioso, se você for no Doraku, super recomendo pedir. Depois pedimos temaki de salmão ($4 no valor do happy hour), a Seleção do Chef de Sushi+Sashimi ($31) e o shushi Dragon Roll ($11.95), que na minha opinião foi o melhor de todos, vários sabores diferentes que juntos ficaram incríveis, mas todos os pratos estavam muito gostosos e os peixes super frescos! Para sobremesa, pedimos o Brownie Tempura ($7.50), que é maravilhoso, uma das melhores sobremesas que eu já comi!
Nós adoramos tudo no restaurante Doraku, a comida, o serviço, a decoração e é claro também o descontinho de happy hour! Com certeza vamos voltar e eu espero que seja logo logo!! Se você está procurando por um japonês autentico, com comida deliciosa e um preço justo, o Doraku em Buckhead é uma ótima opção!
