We are back with the #WeddingTips! It’s been a while since I haven’t done any post about wedding and I need to say that I miss a lot writing about it! Today, I am going to share some ideas for your cake topper, it might seen an easy task, but trust me it is super hard to find a cake topper that you like and one that really represents the couple.
But first, what’s the story behind it? The exact details of its origin are surrounded by mystery. Nobody really knows when this tradition was incorporated into weddings but legend tells us that over a century ago, a baker’s daughter was about to be married and asked her father for a special wedding gift. She asked him to create a symbol of the love that she and her future husband professed to each other. After careful consideration, the father decided upon a unique creation, a gorgeous wedding cake with two fabulous figurines on top of the highest tier, the figurines were a representation of his daughter and her future husband. The baker had created the wedding cake topper as the perfect symbol of love. On the day of her wedding, the daughter was so moved by the figurines that her father had so lovingly crafted, the wedding cake and the topper were placed where they could be seen by everybody at the reception. If that story is real, we are not sure but it is definitely a pretty one!
For my wedding we choose to use natural flowers because we didn’t find anything we liked and in the end we both thought that the flowers were the best choice, but it is something super personal. Now, a few of mine favorite ideas for cake toppers, to help you find the perfect one for your big day!

Depois de uma cuidadosa consideração, o pai decidiu uma criação única, um lindo bolo de casamento com duas estatuetas no topo do bolo, no nível mais alto, as figuras eram uma representação de sua filha e seu futuro marido. O padeiro criou o bolo de casamento como símbolo perfeito do amor. No dia de seu casamento, a filha ficou tão comovida com o presente que seu pai havia feito, o bolo de casamento e o topo do bolo foram colocados onde podiam ser vistos por todos os convidados no casamento. Se essa história é real, não temos certeza, mas é definitivamente uma linda história!
Para o meu casamento, optamos por usar flores naturais porque não encontramos nada que gostássemos e, no final, pensamos que as flores foram a melhor escolha, mas é algo super pessoal.
