285 Colonial Kitchen is Vietnamese restaurant that serves food focused on the French colonial period of Vietnam. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner and includes dishes like pho, buttermilk shrimp banh mi and Vietnamese coconut mussels.
It is located at the Prado shopping complex off of Roswell Road in Sandy Springs an it’s owned by Duc Tran, a native from Vietnam, that opened his first restaurant, 575 Bistro in 2011. The restaurant was designed by Kacey Nguyen in cool sapphire, aqua blues and metallics, with a touch of glam, chic but also casual, I just loved the decor!

Me and my husband went there for lunch (the menu for lunch and dinner are a bit different), and I got the Buttermilk Shrimp Banh Mi ($12) with carrots, pickled daikon, Vietnamese mixed greens, cucumbers, cilantro and Colonial sauce, and my husband chose the Brisket Fantastic Pho ($12), both dishes come with 2 egg rolls or 2 garden spring rolls, everything were so delicious, I loved my Banh Mi, it was so good and the mix of flavours was incredible!
Eu e meu marido fomos almoçar lá (os menus para almoço e jantar são um pouco diferentes), eu escolhi o Buttermilk Shrimp Banh Mi ($12) sanduíche típico do Vietnã com camarão frito, cenoura, daikon em conserva, verduras vietnamitas, pepino, coentro e molho especial deles, e meu marido escolheu o Brisket Fantastic Pho ($12), ambos pratos vêm com 2 egg rolls ou 2 spring rolls, tudo estava super gostoso e eu amei o meu Banh Mi, estava muito bom e adorei a mistura de sabores!
With an amazing food, great service and a beautiful decor, I will definitely recommend 285 Colonial Kitchen for a casual lunch/dinner! And now I want to come back for dinner and try more delicious food from their menu!
