Visiting the Atlanta Botanical Garden is one of my favorite things to do in Atlanta, the garden is located adjacent to Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta. The garden contains 30 acres of incredible trees, beautiful flowers and plants, many sculptures and they always have an exhibition happening at the garden. The ticket is $22 (which it seems expensive but it is totally worth it!), as me and my husband go often to the garden we got the Family Membership that cost $105/year and includes free unlimited admission for 1 year for two adults and children under 18.
Uma das minhas coisas favoritas de fazer em Atlanta, é ir no Atlanta Botanical Garden que fica ao lado do Piedmont Park, em Midtown Atlanta. O jardim contém 30 acres de árvores incríveis, lindas flores e plantas, muitas esculturas e eles sempre têm uma exposição acontecendo no jardim. O ingresso custa $22 (o que parece caro, mas vale super a pena!). Como eu e meu marido vamos bastante no jardim botânico, optamos por ser membros e compramos o Family Membership que custa $105/ano e inclui entrada ilimitada por 1 ano para dois adultos e crianças menores de 18 anos.
The Botanical Garden is a place that I feel connected to the nature, even if we are in the middle of the city! I love going there to explore the garden, see the exhibitions and sometimes I take my book to read in a quiet place (ps: during summer or weekends, expect to be quite full). Inside of the garden, they also have a coffee shop and a restaurant, the Longleaf Restaurant which is a great option if you want to stay the whole day exploring the garden. I also recommend the garden for all ages, for the kids they have a Children’s Garden with many things to be entertained your kid.
O Jardim Botânico é um lugar que me sinto conectado à natureza, mesmo que seja no meio da cidade! Adoro ir lá para explorar o jardim, ver as exposições e às vezes até levo meu livro para ler em um lugar tranquilo (ps: durante o verão ou fins de semana, o jardim fica bem cheio). Dentro do jardim, eles também têm um café e um restaurante, o Longleaf Restaurant, que é uma ótima opção se você quiser passar o dia inteiro explorando o jardim. Recomendo o jardim botânico para todas as idades, para as crianças que têm o Children’s Garden com muitas coisas para divertir e distrair o seu filho.
My Favorite Parts of the Botanical Garden:
- Cascade’s Garden: With the Earth Goddess cascade, this is my favorite place in the garden, it is a wonderful place to sit, listen to the water from the cascade and read a book.
- Cascade’s Garden: Com a cascata da Deusa da Terra, este é o meu lugar favorito no jardim, é um lugar maravilhoso para se sentar, ouvir a água da cascata e ler um livro.
- Canopy Walk: it’s an incredible bridge that loops through the botanical garden on the tops of the trees.
- Canopy Walk: é uma ponte incrível que atravessa o jardim botânico pelo topo das árvores.
- Conservatory: it contains many exotic warm weather plants, surrounded by green plants, bird sounds and beautiful flowers, you truly feel like you are in the middle of the jungle.
- Conservatory: lá tem várias plantas de clima quente, com muito verde, sons de pássaros e flores lindas, lá você se sente no meio de uma floresta.
- Orchid Center: it has a large variety fascinating orchids. The colors are unbelievable, and the flowers are so pretty, some almost seems not real.

Flower Sculptures: so fun and different, it’s an amazing job that they build these sculptures with plants and flowers.

- Garden Lights: it just happen during the holiday season but it’s amazing, for me the best place to see the Christmas lights in Atlanta!
- Garden Lights: acontece apenas durante o fim do ano (entre dezembro e o Ano Novo), mas é incrível, para mim, o melhor lugar para ver as luzes de Natal em Atlanta!
- Cocktails in the Garden: every Thursday evening from May through October until 10 p.m. they have the Cocktails in the Garden where you can explore the Botanical Garden, enjoy a live music and also grab a cocktail.
- Cocktails in the Garden: todas as noites de quinta-feira, de maio a outubro, até 22h eles oferecem o Cocktails in the Garden, onde você pode explorar o jardim botânico, ouvir música ao vivo e também tomar um drink.
TIPS:
– If you can, go during the week days, your are going to have the garden basically for yourself!
– The Atlanta Botanical Garden hosts concerts in the Summer – check the website for the current schedule of events to see if one of your favorite artists is performing.
